COMPREENSÃO DA RELAÇÃO ENTRE VIOLÊNCIA CONTRA A MULHER E O TRAUMA MAXILOFACIAL: REVISÃO DE LITERATURA
Abstract
In relation to gender violence, violence against women constitutes one of the main forms of violation of human rights throughout human history, which includes the right to life, physical integrity and health. Aiming to analyze the importance of knowledge in relation to violence against women and maxillofacial trauma. The method used was the integrative literature review. The PubMed, Virtual Health Library and Medline databases were used to search for articles. Using the descriptors ''Legal dentistry''; ''Women''; ''Violence''; ‘’Wounds and injuries’’. The issue in question has a great impact on the public health issue, since emergency services receive considered numbers of victims and the psychological factors involved. Maxillofacial trauma in women is highlighted since the face is the entry card of the human being, thus being a target for aggressors directly or indirectly, as it affects the self-esteem, physical and psychological health of the woman. Therefore, it is important to know the issue and understand the relationship between maxillofacial trauma and violence against women so that studies such as this one can be used to create means of reducing these cases and ways of helping/receiving the victim.
Resumo
Em relação a violência de gênero, a violência contra a mulher constitui uma das principais formas de violação dos direitos humanos ao longo da história da humanidade, o que abrange o direito à vida, integridade física e saúde. Tendo como objetivo analisar a importância do conhecimento em relação a violência contra a mulher e trauma maxilofacial. O método utilizado foi a revisão integrativa da literatura. Para pesquisar os artigos foram utilizadas as bases de dados PubMed, Biblioteca Virtual de Saúde (BVS) e Medline. Utilizando os descritores ‘’Odontologia legal’’; ‘’Mulheres’’; ‘’Violência’’; ‘’Ferimentos e lesões’’. O tema em questão tem grande impacto quanto a questão de saúde pública, uma vez que os serviços de urgência recebem números considerados de vítimas e quanto aos fatores psicológicos envolvidos. O trauma maxilofacial em mulheres tem destaque uma vez que o rosto é o cartão de entrada do ser humano, sendo assim um alvo para os agressores de forma direta ou indireta, pois afeta a autoestima, saúde física e psicológica da mulher. Logo, é importante conhecer a questão e entender a relação do trauma maxilofacial e a da violência contra a mulher para que estudos como este possam ser utilizados na criação de meios de redução desses casos e formas de ajuda/acolhimento à vítima
