A CONTRIBUIÇÃO DA EDUCAÇÃO A DISTÂNCIA NO ENSINO SUPERIOR NA SOCIEDADE CONTEMPORÂNEA
Abstract
This article seeks to show how Distance Education contributes to the current moment experienced by Education, in addition to briefly presenting the chronology and conceptual perspectives of Distance Education within the national context. Another point addressed was the various forms and methods used in this new concept of education and the characters responsible (teachers, tutors, IT staff, etc.) for promoting distance education. The study aims to address the contribution of distance education in higher education in contemporary society, and as specific objectives: Describe the historical evolution of distance learning; know the policy of expanding distance education and recognize the role of the teacher in distance education. The methodology adopted was based on bibiliographic research, and an explanatory approach to the theme, based on authors such as: Correa (2016), Sosnowski (2013), Libâneo (2012), among others. It is concluded that Distance Education is a modality widely used in the current moment of Education and will be a strong trend in the medium to long term, mainly in Higher Education.
Resumo
O presente artigo busca mostrar como a Educação a Distância contribui para o atual momento vivido pela Educação, alem de apresentar de forma resumida a cronologia e as perspectivas conceituais da EAD dentro do contexto nacional. Outro ponto abordado foi as diversas formas e métodos usados nesse novo conceito de educação e os personagens responsáveis (professores, tutores, equipe de TI, etc) por promover o EAD. O estudo tem como objetivo geral abordar a contribuição da educação à distância no ensino superior na sociedade contemporânea, e como objetivos específicos: Descrever a evolução histórica do ensino a distância; Conhecer a política de expansão da educação à distância e reconhecer o papel do professor na EAD. A metodologia adotada foi baseada na pesquisa bibiliográfica, e uma abordagem explicativa da temática, fundamentada em autores como: Correa (2016), Sosnowski (2013), Libâneo (2012), entre outros. Conclui-se que a EaD é uma modalidade muito utilizada no atual momento da Educação e será uma forte tendência de médio a longo prazo, principalmente no Ensino Superior.
