O PAPEL DO FARMACÊUTICO NO GERENCIAMENTO DO DIABETES TIPO I: UMA REVISÃO BIBLIOGRÁFICA
Abstract
Objective: To evaluate the importance of the pharmacist in the control of type 1 diabetes and his contribution to improving the quality of life of patients. Method: This was a descriptive bibliographical research using a qualitative approach. To carry out this study, it was necessary to consult the computerized databases: BIREME (Latin American and Caribbean Center for Health Sciences Information), SCIELO (Scientific Electronic Library Online), LILACS (Latin American and Caribbean Literature in Sciences of Health) and PUBMED (National Library of Medicine). A search was carried out for publications of scientific articles that corresponded to the inclusion and exclusion criteria determined by the present study. Results: It was possible to select 11 articles to compose the final sample of this bibliographic review, starting from an examination of the publications selected using the inclusion and exclusion criteria. Conclusion: The importance of the pharmaceutical professional in the care of patients with AMD was verified, encouraging the search for the professional, thus causing lower risks of errors in medication dosages and reducing the problems caused by drug interactions, with the follow-up of this professional the patient can follow treatment with greater adherence, safety and efficacy.
Resumo
Objetivo: Avaliar a importância do farmacêutico no controle do diabetes tipo 1 e sua contribuição para a melhoria da qualidade de vida dos pacientes. Método: Tratou-se de uma pesquisa bibliográfica descritiva utilizando-se de uma abordagem qualitativa. Para a realização desse estudo, foram necessárias consultas nas bases de dados informatizadas: BIREME (Centro Latino- Americano e do Caribe de Informação em Ciências da Saúde), SCIELO (Scientific Electronic Library Online), LILACS (Literatura Latino Americana e do Caribe em Ciências da Saúde) e PUBMED (National Library of Medicine). Foi realizada a busca das publicações de artigos científicos que correspondessem aos critérios de inclusão e exclusão determinados pelo presente estudo. Resultados: Foi possível selecionar 11 artigos para compor a amostra final desta revisão bibliográfica, partindo-se de um exame acerca das publicações selecionados por meio dos critérios de inclusão e exclusão. Conclusão: Constatou-se a importância do profissional farmacêutico nos cuidados dos pacientes com DMI, incentivando a procura do profissional, ocasionando assim menores riscos de erros nas dosagens de medicamentos e diminuindo os problemas causados por interações medicamentosas, com o acompanhamento desse profissional o paciente pode seguir o tratamento com maior adesão, segurança e eficácia.
