A IMPORTÂNCIA DA ASSISTÊNCIA FARMACÊUTICA NA UNIDADE BÁSICA DE SAÚDE ANTÔNIO ASSUNÇÃO DE MORAIS, LAGO DA PEDRA-MA
Abstract
Pharmaceutical Care is a new concept of professional practice in which the pharmacist takes responsibility for the patients' needs regarding the rational use of medicines. Thus, this work aims to investigate the contribution of the pharmacist when inserted in the UBS Antônio Assunção de Morais, Lago da Pedra-MA, related health promotion. This happened in understanding the performance of the Pharmaceutical professional, especially regarding the effective contribution of this professional to the Multiprofessional Team of the Basic Health Unit Antônio Assunção de Morais. The approach used was the quantitative one, with the objective of obtaining information on the theme in question. Participated in this research, health professionals working in the UBS study such as doctors, nurses, social workers, psychologists, nursing technicians and community health workers. According to the results presented by the UBS team in question, they suggest that the best thing to do would be to expand the staff of Pharmacy professionals for each unit, to create distribution points in the municipality with the dispensing of medicines by the pharmacist, given the impossibility the alternative would be to centralize all medicines in the municipal pharmacy. Thus, it is concluded that an assignment that should be exercised mainly by the pharmaceutical professional with the implementation of the practice of Pharmaceutical Care, to ensure quality of life for drug users, becomes something utopian in municipal public health.
Resumo
Atenção Farmacêutica é um novo conceito de prática profissional em que o farmacêutico assume a responsabilidade das necessidades dos pacientes em relação ao uso racional de medicamentos. Desta forma, este trabalho tem como objetivo geral investigar qual a contribuição do profissional farmacêutico quando inserido na UBS Antônio Assunção de Morais, Lago da Pedra-MA, relacionado promoção de saúde. Isso aconteceu em compreender a atuação do profissional Farmacêutico, sobretudo no que diz respeito à contribuição efetiva desse profissional junto à Equipe Multiprofissional da Unidade Básica de Saúde Antônio Assunção de Morais. A abordagem utilizada foi a do tipo quantitativa, com o objetivo de obter informações sobre a temática em questão. Participaram desta pesquisas, profissionais da saúde que trabalham na UBS em estudo tais como médicos, enfermeiros, assistentes sociais, psicólogos, técnicos em enfermagem e agentes comunitários de saúde. De acordo com os resultados apresentados pela equipe da UBS em questão, sugerem que o melhor a se fazer, seria ampliar o quadro de profissionais de Farmácia para cada unidade, criar pontos de distribuição no município com a dispensação de medicamentos feita pelo farmacêutico, diante da impossibilidade a alternativa seria centralizar todos os medicamentos na farmácia municipal. Sendo assim, conclui-se que uma atribuição que deveria ser exercida principalmente pelo profissional farmacêutico com a execução da prática da Atenção Farmacêutica, para garantir qualidade de vida aos usuários de medicamentos, torna-se algo utópico na saúde pública municipal.
